Gatti version of Mayweather would make mince-meat out of every 140 lb fighter today.

    1:33 > 3:23

Look how ruthless he is. Jesus Christ. The offensive potency was just immense. Would have overwhelmed any fighter today. He probably would have knocked everyone out besides possibly Garcia. Maybe even a late TKO.

    It wasn't just power

    It was the insane reflexes

    The footwork

    The speed

He was just ruthless even at 40.

Gatti is a C class fighter according to Mr. Money himself and he went life and death with journeyman Ward.

No man is beating that version of Money.

    Ruthless aggression the entire way.

That was the last we've ever seen of Pretty Boy Floyd unfortunately. Sad. :(

Legal blow, ref didn't say anything. Possible inexperience.

Can't fault him for doing it. Protect yourself at all times and fight until the ref signals otherwise.

That version of gatti wanted to fight but that version of fmj wanted to fight more. I believe at any age that is the version pac would see. A ruthless mean and nasty Floyd.

I do too. I feel that if he fights Pac, he's going to want to beat the **** out of him, for all the bad blood. And if its his last fight, he wont have to worry about his hands as much.

I've always said that. 140 was perfect for him. I think he optimized both his speed and his power at 140. As far as his physical ability, 140 was his peak. He didnt lose any of the speed from 130. And got more power with the added weight.

exactly.... everything was right on point

    Defense was even more polished
    Reflexes were on point
    Speed
    Power
IQ and experience by that time were increased
    All the punches
    Combos

He was ridiculous at 140.....if he'd campaigned there....no doubt he would be #1 ATG at 140

This Gatti was the perfect matchup for Mayweather.

He was trained by McGirt, who basically told Gatti to box Mayweather. It was probably one of the dumbest gameplans in the history of the sport. Telling a brawler to box a far superior boxer. You might as well tell Shillak to brawl with Kovalev. It's that dumb of a gameplan.

And because Gatti fought like an idiot, it made Mayweather look invincible. Nothing less. Nothing more.
