We can argue about any P4P list for days. It's not an exact science, and is subject to interpretation. With that being said, which one of these 3 do you believe is the best p4p list? Ring: 1. Mayweather 2. Ward 3. Wlad 4. Pacquiao 5. Bradley 6. Marquez 7. Rigo 8. Froch 9. Gonzalez 10. Alvarez ESPN: 1. Mayweather 2. Ward 3. Pacquiao 4. Bradley 5. Marquez 6. Rigo 7. Golovkin 8. Wlad 9. Cotto 10. Mikey Garcia Boxrec: 1. Mayweather 2. Pacquiao 3. Wlad 4. Ward 5. Marquez 6. Alvarez 7. Froch 8. Stevenson 9. Golovkin 10. Maidana
I really don't see p4p lists factoring into the politics of the sport. It's mostly a tool used to spark debate amongst fans.
and having people having arguements, lol i dont mind when they do with fight results, there favourite fighters, judges, refs whatever. but p4p lists are purely based on ones opinion.
You didn't mention the TNBR list. Given how it's compiled, it certainly merits a mention in the discussion. 1 Floyd Mayweather, Jr. 2 Andre Ward 3 Manny Pacquiao 4 Timothy Bradley 5 Juan Manuel Marquez 6 Carl Froch 7 Wladimir Klitschko 8 Guillermo Rigondeaux 9 Danny Garcia 10 Roman Gonzalez
Voted ESPN Swap around Ward for Pacman and I'd settle for that. P4P Ward hasn't done anything. He cleared out 1 Division. Many other boxers have done that.
All these P4P lists are completely insane. Here's a quick but good one. 1. Floyd Mayweather 2. Andre Ward 3. Manny Pacquiao 4. Timothy Bradley 5. Miguel Cotto 6. Juan Manuel Marquez 7. Guillermo Rigondeaux 8. Yuriorkis Gamboa 9. Marcos Maidana 10. Bernard Hopkins
all of them are terrible since they have Wladimir in the top 10 despite never beating one elite boxer
Inactivity? Mayweather was fighting once annually and still managed to be on the list. If Ward doesn't fight this year, then he should be dropped or removed. As much as I like him, he needs to move up.
