Where would you guys rank the winner of this fight?

Two great talents but largely unproven against the top fighters at their weight.

Beating Russell Jr. is ever so slightly better than beating Lomachenko, at this moment, whatever that is worth.

Jhonny Gonzalez could have fought Russell Jr, but he choose a no name and he's looking for a fight with Arce's washed up a**.

Well Lomachenko is white, so if he wins everyone will shout how he beat one of the most talented boxers in the world and this only cements his legendary status.

Russell is black, if he wins, it's because the judges/ref/floyd(somehow) cheated.

I'd say the winner will be ranked somewhere around the top of the WBO's rankings @126lbs:rofl

They both wouldn't beat any of the top 5 featherweights.....Mares, Gonzales, Donaire, Gradovich and Walters would all beat them...

Both are decent fighters at best....Not elite level and they would both lose to the top 5 at 126....Gary Russell was somewhat impressive coming up, but now he looks like he's nothing special at all..

Clearly below Jhonny, Donaire, Vetyetka, Gradovich, Walters, and Mares off the top of my head.

Was thinking that would be the case Pre fight.

Ring had Lomachenko 10 and Russell was outside of the top 10, do think both could beat or compete with those ranked above but they lack the big fights to advance too far up the rankings.

Interesting match ups for Lomachenko if those top guys square off.

In my opinion, he's clearly below those listed but probably also ahead of everybody else. Marvin Sonsona has W's over Shimoda and Vazquez Jr, but I don't think any other Featherweights are on that tier. A deep division at the top, followed by shallowness in my opinion.

Loma's developing quickly. It's tough to say exactly how good he is now, but he has a ways to go before he peaks. Very interesting matchups at the top....now that he's got a belt, we might see him slow down somewhat for a couple of fights to get some more pro experience before he takes on a top 5 guy at the weight.
