lomachenko. russell has been feasting on slow footed wide punching 2nd and 3rd tier fighters while lomachenko was fighting some of the worlds best amateurs in the wsb in a pro setting. he also faced 2 very good fighters in his first "official" pro fights. he performed excellent in the first fight....and pretty damn good in the 2nd fight considering he had to fight both salido and incompetent/corrupt ref lawrence 'piece of ****' cole.
From what I've seen from both I'm saying, Lomachenko, but not with certainty, mainly because Gary hasn't stepped up yet and perhaps he hasn't shown all that he can do yet, he pretty much just strolled through every fight he's been in so far, so perhaps there's more to him than I think.
this fight will answer a lot of questions, can't wait to see what this board looks like tomoorow night after the fights. honestly i think this fight could go either way and give a slight advantage to russel because of professional experience and spped advantage.
Lomachenko Dude fought the top amateurs from all over the world, fought in the WSB, and nearly took out Orlando Salido in his second fight. Russell has been fighting TBAs for nearly 5 years.
Gary Russell Jr. Better fighter, more technical and killer instinct. Vasyl is an amateur and will be out pointed.
Russell is dead on when he said the Commie is an amateur. Too bad for Loma that this is the Pros. GRJ by TKO8
Prove you really believe that - you spend the most time hating. Permanent ban bet with me. I say Loma wins, you say GRJ wins. Or are you a pusssy?
I'm gonna say Lomachenko. Russell used to be one of my favorite prospects. But that was 3 or 4 years ago. There has to be a reason that Russell hasn't been stepped up after all this time. Lomachenko, although as someone else pointed out, was part o the WSB, and has an extensive amateur background, is the exact opposite. Stepped up in fight #2, and to me that's a positive, despite the result. To me, this fight on the face of it could go either way. There are just so many unknowns about both guys. I'm thinking Lomachenko will have learned a bit of what it takes to compete as a true professional vs Salido and will carry some of that into this fight. Lomachenko close UD. Controversial maybe.
I just wont believe Russle has the balls to go thru with it until he enters the ring. Then I'll be impressed, unless he turns and ankle or something in rd 1-2 just to avoid the beating and the loss. He knows he's gonna get his shiit pushed in....he might wanna avoid it and take the TKO2 by turning an ankle.:think
Russell puts him to sleep with a counter, Vasyl is these to be hit when he is aggressive and i can see Russell knocking him out during a exchange or i see Russell winning a decision by outworking him.
Russell jr. last fought a guy with a record of 14 wins, and 7 loses. While Loma did well against a B level fighter. I go with Loma
