Mills Lane is the best ref I ever saw, Howard Cosell was the best announcer

    Its unfair is what I'm saying. I'm sure there are plenty of young talented broadcasters dying for that job. People who are better at it and are more deserving are being passed over so they can make room for people like Kellerman just because the industry is owned by a certain group.

    i really liked mills lane as well, he was a ver active ref, you could see he liked boxing because as the boxers fought, mills was in there dancing with them like he was in the fight, this makes a good ref because he is attentively watching everything and constantly dancing around to get better angles....

    as of right now my fav ref active would be micheal griffin, and i like him for the exact same reasons, seems to have a very fair judgement also...within the last few years he seems to have gained in popularity and has been reffing fights in vegas and elsewhere in the world, previously he was montreal only.

    Yes, Mills Lane was one of the best referees in boxing history...............he was the complete opposite of Laurence Cole.............

    have watched old fights and i have to say cosell was very bad and boring and most of the time not objective.
