This would be a great fight , I know everyone would back rigo but Russell would be a very good opponent considering they can only find cans willing to face rigo

I don't think a former P4P top 5 like Donaire exactly meets the criteria of what most boxing fans would consider a 'bum.' :nono

Can't see him touching rigo, at first I seen this and thought it would be a great match up, but Russell had and extremely hard time being effective against Loma. If he fights defensive minded rigo he would stand no chance, I'd say rigo wins by KO

But then again, styles do tend to make fights, and Donaire is more of a single shot counter punch fighter rather than a high octane volume puncher like GRJ is. I guess the fight will be competitive in some spots. Rigo doesn't dance nearly as much as Loma does, and will prove to be a slightly more stationary target.

I would eventually like to see this fight but loma has his record and world title now he needs 4 fights of reasonable difficulty to hon his craft and fully adapt to the pros. His won the world title on talent alone , no experince nor has he anywhere near fully adapted to the pros

Why would you want that? Loma made him look less than average... Rigo would stomp him.

Because none of the other champions or half decent contenders will go near rigo so he has to face terrible competition, Russell has the speed and if he improves a bit the ability to test rigo and give him more of a challenge than most fighters

Considering that GRJ weighed 138 on fight night, 122 may be a stretch for him.

    Same with Loma.
