This nonsense needs to stop. First off, Golovkin did not start out with top level promotional company like Loma. You're crazy if you don't think that has a major impact on the opportunities you're afforded. Second, Guys like Sturm, Martinez, and Chavez Jr. have passed on opportunities to fight Golovkin. Right now Cotto is the recognized champ at MW, and they're talking about matching him up against Tim Bradley. Third, while Loma is building up a nice resume, let's not forget that Salido was a massive underdog and he beat Loma. Before Russell signed to fight Loma all anyone said about him was that he was a glass jawed hype job who fought nothing but cab drivers. I'm not sure how losing to Loma all of a sudden makes him a great fighter. Both guys seem to be pretty good fighters. However, Golovkin has clearly earned his stripes more in my opinion. He's had to do things the hard way. He wasn't simply handed opportunites like has been the case with Loma.
