Dominic Wade vs. Nick Brinson, 10 rounds @ super middleweight

Okay, made me look. :-|

I actually started at all four names for a second, like "which could possibly...? :huh"

 

Round 1

Brinson is shuffling to his left, throwing jabs into the stomach of Wade. Flinching arm-twitches and jab-feints by Wade, carrying his left down by his side. Wade steps in and trades 1-2s on the body with Brinson. 1-2 by Wade. Brinson goes to the body with a straight combo but Wade gathers the shots on his lowered underarms, causing them to cascade away harmlessly. Jab and short uppercut by Wade. Brinson is backed across the ring, covering up. Brinson jumps forward off the ropes with a left hook and right on either side of the ribcage of Wade. Brinson rolls off to his left. Lunging right to the body by Brinson, Wade dancing out to his right to avoid it.

Round 2

Brinson is backed off by Wade's jabs and 1-2s. Long jab and wide right hands by Brinson while hanging back. Wade is doubling his jab into Brinson's face, and catches him ducking inside with a short right uppercut. Left hook up top by Wade, caught on the back of the glove. Body shots by Wade. Brinson runs into him, using his guard to plow Wade across the ring. Wade lands a check hook leaping diagonally back and to his left as Brinson is reaching in with a jab on the body.

Round 3

Wade is jabbing from mid-range, staying and watching after each one thrown, getting a bit lazy. Brinson finds him with a left hook and Wade is hurt, backed into a corner. Wade recovers, back to jabbing from the hip. Right hand up top by Wade, missing. Hard jab on the body by Wade. Brinson is circling to his left, turning side to side to slip punches. Brinson is backed into a corner where Wade unloads on him, barking with each shot. Brinson rolls with most of them but is grazed several times with right hands over the eyes. Brinson jabs the body circling out to center ring. Wade moves him into the ropes again with a 1-2. Brinson is hurt by a combination to head and body. Brinson is on the ropes, firing back with a wild right hand and landing a left hook.

Round 4

Brinson is exclusively working the jab on the belt line of Wade from outside, changing directions every couple of paces. Wade is tripling his speedy jab into Brinson's face, barking in staccato as he does. Hard flurry on the body by Brinson thinking he has Wade trapped on the ropes, countered away by a left hook. Wade is jabbing in on Brinson and throwing right hands over his back as Brinson ties up low. Kenny Bayless warns Brinson for leading with his head.

Round 5

Brinson is throwing venomous jabs up at the face of Wade, placing his lead foot in between Wade's. Light jabs shot out from the hip in multiples by Wade. Brinson is rocking side to side on the way in and throwing 1-2-3s as he nears, finishing with the hook on the long sinuous body of Wade, a difficult target as Wade twists away.
