Who was the promotion company that was going to put up money for this? Floyd said he himself would give Pac 40 million, but that's not even something he can control.

 

If I'm not mistaken, Golden Boy was cutting Floyd's checks. The $40 million would come from either Golden Boy or TMT, whatever place he pays his other opponents.

40 - arum's cut - u.s. tax = ~25m while theftjr will gross upwards of 80m.

We can talk about the 40 million dollar offer all day but the fact of the matter is that the offer would have never happened had Bob Arum entered into negotiations.

Shaefer called him several times, the mediator judge called Bob Arum and Top Rank in order to start negotiations and all that time Arum was in the media saying, "Why is Shaefer calling me, I don't know why he's calling me, they have nothing to do with Floyd."

Arum even went as far as saying Joe Jackson who is broke would be promoting and putting up money for the fight. The same Joe Jackson who has to borrow money from Katherine Jackson bc Michael cut him out the Will.

Floyd is quoted as saying that they never talked about the back end and Koncz has stated that as well but it doesn't change the fact that Floyd should have never had to personally call Manny.

Not only did Manny turn it down but he never used it as a starting point to actually start negotiations and we can't expect him to do that bc he doesn't negotiate, and its why he pays Arum.
