I agree. Gamboa didn't hold and he's too easy too hurt. Put Crawford in with a 140 banger with some skill and he's getting stretchered out in a comma.

People have to realise that Gamboa is a very small fighter, an OFFENSIVE fighter which is a key point, who uses athleticism as his defence, keeping his chin in the air.
Since I realised Gamboa's punches were not hurting Crawford, I knew it was going to be a win for Crawford.

Crawford still got hit way too much, by huge shots.

His offence is going to be overrated, this forum from my experience is full of dumb posters that talk like they know what they're talking about.

Size, and reach in particular, was definitely a factor in the fight, but the main problem for Gamboa was his lack of discipline. When you consistently are jumping in to try and land a punch, you are bound to get caught. Gamboa definitely has great athleticism and speed, but he must work on his fundamentals. You cannot knock out everybody, especially when you are not fighting at your best weight. Gamboa showed he can beat Crawford if he sticks to a gameplan and boxes from the outside the whole fight, but he must understand that trading with Crawford is a sure fire way to get Knocked out.

 

It helped, but Crawford won because Gamboa always gets clipped. This time he got clipped by someone that could finish the job

size def mattered but crawford was also very skilled. gamboa's chin also let him down.

 

I would love to see him fight broner. That would be a big fight. I think broner walks through him. 135-140.
