I just watched the fight on my DVR and this was probably the best boxing match I've seen in years honestly. It had everything!!!!! Heart, Skill, Brawling, Knock Downs, Shocks, Thrills, Honor amongst fighters. I honestly don't recall of a fight I enjoyed watching as much as Gamboa vs Crawford.

My question to you is if both of them were up to it would you like to see a rematch ? I sure as hell would, beats the hell out of all the other stupid fights they (haymond - arum) try to put together.

Probably. But I think if Gamboa boxed a little more and kept his hands up he could maybe drag it to a decision. Dunno if he would win though. He's too stubborn. It's good when he can mow a guy down but vs Crawford you gotta be smart.

Nope, but I'd be on board for a Gamboa-Juan Ma fight

Gamboa can't fix his bad habits, so you'll lose by KO again. He got KD'ed so many times over the years because he always keep his hands down.

No, the whole reason the fight was entertaining was because Gamboa is a mismatch against Crawford. When Crawford figured out how to keep the distance from Gamboa, it left him with no option but jumping in suicidally to land his shots.

Due to the relative sizes of both guys, it's far more of a challenge to Gamboa than it is to Crawford, it's entertaining but it's hardly a fair match up.

Crawfords decent but I can't believe how much hype he is getting from the US media like HBO. I mean ffs, he beat a Ricky Burns who had his jaw broken in the previous fight (by a guy who should be holding the belt right now btw) and in the first 4 rounds Gamboa gave him kittens. I really don't see why we should be heralding him as the next great hope for boxing just yet.

No. Excellent fight, but for it to be an excellent fight again both fighters would need to fight the same way and we'd see the same result, it would happen sooner next time though.

    Pass...
Gamboa took a beating towards the end & was exploited for his size by Crawford in a ****'ish kinda way...

Crawford takes him out sooner in a rematch, Gambs should try & make 130 or below again.

Gamboa outboxed fim for nearly 5 rounds after a very long layoff.
If he stays focussed he wins. He got respectless and tried to knock Crawford out and paid for it.
