If one rematch is good, why not make it two. Bring on the Mayweather - Maidana trilogy already. Just like Die Hard II was followed by Die Hard III. And Godfather II needed Godfather III :deal Part I 'The Moment' Part II 'The Joke' Part II 'The Farce'
Part II 'The next best option (apart from Porter who is fighting Brook) in a skill-gaped division where the next best opponents (Pacquiao and Bradley) aren't available due to Arum possession' eh that's abit long.
Are you complaining about the rematch, the first fight was realy exciting and gave us alot of action or am I missing something here?
Yeah the first fight was pretty good, I didnt think it was amazing or anything funny seeing floyd get roughed up a bit. The next fight will probably have a stricter ref which will allow mayweather to win an easier decsion by an extra round or two, i think its gonna be a similar fight but less interesting and surprising
a stricter ref will not allow floyd with his dirty tactics also, so you can scratch that off the table :good
Yeah but I think the ref will be leniet with his elbow thing like they always are and be sore on maidanas overall dirty tactics
oh, you just proved that Mayweather and Pac are the product of a weak era. thanks for proving they are nothing close to great
All depends on how the rematch unfolds. If Maidana wins then your wish for a trilogy will become reality.
Is that a serious question? How about he fights Pacquiao or Golovkin. People are saying he's going to fight Cotto for his belt in May. I wonder why he doesn't fight Golovkin instead.
Ironically I think we can say the first fight was a cherry pick but the second isn't. Madiana wasn't lauded as being much a threat to Mayweather. We expected him to routine him 11-1. That he's trying to vindicate a too-close-for-comfort win against an opponent that is clearly a struggle for him is actually somewhat commendable. Even though at the same time it is denigrating in that Maidana wasn't supposed to be the kind of opponent to bring that out of Floyd.
