He shouldn't fight again. Fought knowingly injured last time for a cash out pay day and should leave it at that. He'll never hold a world title again so no real point in fighting on and risking doing himself serious damage. Still it's funny how Sturm paid all that money for Darren's title only to be unable to hold it hostage after all.
Darren Barker @DarrenBarker82 ยท Jun 26 Haha trust me Im never returning to the ring! Iv achieved my ultimate goal and iv got more money then bill gates so no I'm happily retired
This content is protected Very strange what happened to Sturm in the soliman rematch. Huge sudden loss of form from his previous couple of fights when he looked deadly. Actually he did better in the first fight, when he had reasons to look bad...unprepared, caught by surprise by SAMs octopus style of....er ..."boxing". Very strange...wonder will he quit boxing too? He is getting surgery on an arm injury I believe. But that does not prove he intends to box on...
Gutted he thought against Sturm while injured, would of been interesting if he was actually fit but suppose he had to take the once in a lifetime payday even though he was in no fit shape to get in that ring
I suppose my only beef with him fighting injured are his declarations of supreme confidence and how his reign would continue for a long time to come. Besides the fans who went over, he must have cost his betting fans a lot of money. Why not say it's going to be a tough night, and I'm taking each fight as it comes? Give us all a bit of a clue. No end to spout the bull**** he did beforehand. He was a bit long in the tooth and far too sensible to need to gee himself up with fairy stories, so I don't accept that for a reason - unlike poor Ricky when he was fighting Pacman!
