Who could Floyd fight that would not be considered a cherry pick? Every fight he announces, the haters come out in full force with evolving arguments. " he wants to fight Khan, that's a cherry pick, he has a glass jaw. Floyd isn't fighting Khan, oh see, he's scared of khans speed, another duck.....Floyd's ducking Canelo, scared of a young tough fighter. Floyd whoops Canelo, oh that was a cherry pick. Canelo is too young and flat footed.... Maidana brought it to Floyd, he deserves a rematch, but Floyd is too scared to fight him again. Oh he's rematching him, what a waste , he's afraid of real challengers. Maidana is a c level fighter.
you don't think Maidana is an ordinary fighter? Roger Mayweather seems to disagree https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udSPGjTKQm0 and no I'm not a pac fan either
Ordinary or not, he fought rather well in the first fight and shocked many(myself included) with his performance.
ggg, is a middleweight who is scared to mention hopkins & wards manes. But floyd is ducking a career middleweight eh!!
Bradley is with TOP RANK, Thurman is yet to step up to accept a fight like this so early and Lara if he beats Canelo hasn't happened yet. Surely you must be joking by mentioning Kirkland and Clottey.
Id love a Thurman fight, think it would be tough fight for Floyd.... GGG, I haven't bought into his hype yet. Reminds me of the Matthyse hype train before Danny beat him. I remember people saying he was going to be the one to beat Floyd.
The Thurman hype Why do people think Thurman gives Floyd trouble lol. If you say Thurman you should say Porter also...
im sorry but that quote makes no sense....quac-man works for top rank promotions and its chief bob arum...
The TS is asking who would not be a cherry pick for Floyd and isn't filtering the pool of possible opponents according to promotional feasibility. I gave what I feel is a reasonable answer. Bradley would NOT be a cherry pick. His resume and abilities speak for itself. Thurman is an undefeated KO artist with out of the ring charisma. Sellable fight to both the boxing community and the casuals. If Lara wins then he becomes viable. His resume would get a massive boost if he's able to beat Canelo in front of a PPV audience. Kirkland is PPV friendly in every possible way and the Floyd - 50 connection could and would be exploited in the promotion. Clottey for some reason is overlooked. He'd give Floyd a very difficult fight.
I think their is a great chance Lara beats Canelo, at which point he would have to be a viable option for Floyd. Not sure Floyd would take the risk though
