Anybody change their scores? On the night I scored it 115-112 Calzaghe. After the Replay I scored it 116-111 Calzaghe. In the cold light of day I thought it was not too hard to score.
i had it 115-112 calzaghe watched it 3 times now, sorry bhop not enough work one great punches jus don't win a round calzaghe had a lot more scoring punches (little or normal power) to nick rounds
i originally scored it 115-114 to calzaghe after watching it again i think maybe 116-113 i certainly gave calzaghe more rounds second time around
I'll have to rewatch it again as well. Had it 116-111 last night for Calzaghe. I'm surprised that a lot of people had it for Hopkins. He landed the cleaner punches throughout, but just didn't do enough. Calzaghe outworked him and outhustled him. One or two clean right hands a round isn't going to get it done.
A lot of me changing my prediction had to do with trying to bring some balance with those who said Calzaghe was going to destroy Hopkins and knock him out. I picked with my heart on this one - not the smartest thing to do, but hey, I can live with it I think Hopkins has a lot to be proud of. What 43 year old could win rounds and hang in there against Joe Calzaghe?
I assume you didnt have any cash on it at least. Hopkins really impressed me so he did, he still could beat nearly every other LHW out there. Bar mabye Dawson, but I would not be comfortable picking anybody bar Calzaghe over Hopkins at LHW.
just watched the replay. **** fight, mainly due to the clash of styles/joe cortez and hopkins negativity. if you just watch hopkins and forget about calzaghe you see hopkins as has been his want for the last years fought negativley trying not to lose rather than trying to win. dirty/foul fest as expected /poor spectacle and instantly forgettable. calzaghe won the fight because of his willingness to take chances to get his own punches off
I had it 117-110 last night, and I have it 117-110 after watching the replay today. I didn't need daylight to help me see that Hopkins did **** all. He would've lost the 10th round as well had he not got the 3-4 minutes to recover from the 'low blow'. This fight was not difficult to score, Hopkins lost convincingly. I think so many people gave B-Hop some early rounds because they were so excited about the early KD that they weren't paying close enough attention to what they were watching.
just rewatched the replay, had it originally 115-113, but now i think it was 116-112 easily, it was a very clear victory, calzaghe actually performed alot better than i though he had, he hit hopkins with some very nice and clean shots, calzaghe landed alot more punches and although alot of them had very little power, he still hit hopkins with nearly as many clean shots as hopkins hit him with, calzaghe was literally up before 1 when he got KD.
i had it 117 - 110 last night, i still have it 117 - 110, tonight i will have it 117 - 110, whilst i'm sleeping tonight i will have it 117 - 110, tomorrow during breakfast i will have it 117 - 110, on the drive to work i will still have it 117 - 110, after my 8am meeting i will still have it 117 - 110, during lunch............ get my drift!
I had it a draw last night But 116 - 114 Calzaghe when I watched the replay. It was a close fight imo, it's a shame Hopkins was so negative and also the feigning injury was discraceful.
I had JC winning by 4/5 rounds.Hopkins tried to bull**** his way to a win and it didn't work. Can't throw 1 punch and win a round.
