Listen, I saw Limond get completely shut out by Crolla who is same level as Burns, in front of his own people for the British, lost every single round 120-108, 120-108, 120-109 and that was over 2 years ago. Limond has not improved since then, hes just got older. There is a serious gulf in class between Curtis Woodhouse and Ricky Burns You cant be serious, i'm absolutely astonished that you could even think it for 1 second. Burns would wipe the floor with him so easily.

As for me picking Woodhouse. It was a 50/50 fight, my reasoning was that it would be close and would possibly come down to who wants it most.

Burns Limond would be a 95/5 fight and anyone who thinks any different must be Limond or one of his family or trainer etc.

Happy that Limond managed to grab hold of the British title, but there's not a hope he's beating Burns.

 

To put it in triangle terms... look what Derry did to Woodhouse when they fought, then compare that against the info many have heard with regards to the sparring between Ricky & Derry...

I totally agree with davidmcallister.

Ricky looked very poor IMO on Friday and yeah he has been up gainst some better opposition but that's in the past now and he's certainly not performing anywhere near like he did in those fights, Mitchell would probably beat ricky easily based on Friday. You are only as good as your last fight or in Burns case last 3/4 fights...

Ricky's proved us wrong in the past but he needs to now do it again at domestic level to build confidence or to declne further.

I hope he can come again but I cant see him getting back to world level...seems to have lost confidence aswell as everything else.

Sitting on the ropes like he's doing is shocking, I dont even box but I know I wouldnt be sitting on the ropes like that...
