they should start screening IP numbers, because chances are he will come back with an alt he has already created
there are people who should of been banned a long time ago yet they are allowed to post their garbage here daily like the boxing HOF, where there are fighters who shouldn't have gotten in, but for reasons unknown did
2.2 mil the fight before, my friend. And if we are going on short term memory, last PPV sale only, he still is the PPV king either way. Sooooo... yeah.
pacman can only reach the million with marquez or maybe cotto who is one of the most popular...Floyd would have broke the million against Guerrero and maidana if he was still fighting on hbo. of course Floyd got great undercard that help...a concept arum seem to dont understand!!
That was in the heat of the 2010-2011 outside of the ring "rivalry," where both benefited a bit number wise from not fighting each other. Pacquiao vs. Mosley did 1.3 M buys, although there was some sketchiness in regards to Showtime not confirming those numbers, etc.
To answer this correctly, you'd have to calculate how much money each fighter earned and compare that to PPV buys. Mayweather gets a bigger guarantee than Pacquiao. Therefore, he is expected to draw larger numbers. It would be like LeBron James averaging 18 ppg during an NBA season. Yeah, most guys would love to average 18 a game, but for the money he's paid that would be a disappointment. I'd venture to say that Canelo/Angulo, which only did a few hundred buys. made more of a profit than Mayweather/Maidana. There is such a huge investment in Mayweather PPV's, with the undercard, All-Access, promotional ventures, that even 900,000 buys probably weren't enough to make money for anybody but Al Haymon and his fighters. I doubt we'll ever see huge numbers from either in the future. The anticipation of a Mayweather/Pac matchup drew a lot of fans to the table. Why do you think Mayweather all of a sudden talks about fighting Pacquiao during the Maidana fight week? Fans won't continue to invest in either fighter unless there is a fantastic "B" side as was the case with Mayweather/Canelo. This whole conversation illustrates why boxing has really fallen in the last decade. We know that all athletes are basically in it for money. However, only in boxing is that fact made so clear. We don't hear athletes in other sports talk about their wealth in such grandiose terms as do this new generation of boxers like Mayweather and Broner.
Also, how do we know when official numbers are never put out. Showtime was able to have Mayweather/Canelo numbers out in a week, but still haven't produced figures for a fight that took place two months ago.
Career-wise it's still DLH with about 1.5 mill more PPVs produced than FLoyd who is at number 2. Floyd should become the all-time undisputed PPV king within his next two fights.
it had been proven in their last fight. floyd with stacked undercard and on a mexican holiday did not do well compared to pac-bradley on a non-mexican holiday. floyd needs latino fighters and their holiday to have successful ppv otherwise the stakeholders will not guarantee that money. if you don't believe then ask him as his die hard fans to fight outside vegas with a non-latino fighter on an ordinary day. h ehe he. fights of him being speculated outside of the US is very risky. he has no advertisement just to prove him not popular enough to be invested at
This "debate" is dumb! People blame Floyd for being smart enough to take advantage of dates and targeting a large fan base. That's like blaming arum and oscar for having a lot of Latino boxers and having them fight during Mexican holidays in the past. Instead of recognizing Floyd's brilliance "fans" only want to hate on his success. Floyd is successful because he was smart enough to market himself and take advantage of things he recognized in the market. He is the PPV king because fans talk about him even when he was away from the sport more than PAC eve. When PAC was on his great run. I know it hurts a lot if people to admit it but Floyd is the king a and it was due to his own design
