the fact that Floyd struggled against weak opponents like Maidana and Castillo show how overrated he is

 

It might have been a clear win to most but it was the worst May's looked probably since Castillo 1. If he didn't rematch him, people would say he scraped by and wants no part of a rematch. The real problem with Maidana is the same as all Floyd's opponents, they're not Pacquiao, not the match the public wants to see.

Not fighting Pacquiao, isn't a history of cherrypicking. You can't cherrypick #1 contenders, #1 rated fighters and champions. Every "Cherrypick" that he has, is probably every other fighters biggest fight of their career. Being a level above the competition isn't cherrypicking .

I myself did not buy the 1st & will not be buying the 2nd fight either. Floyd beat him clearly. First 3 or so rounds were Midana but floyd figured him out & won.
