    The champ1000..

Lacy means nothing for all time status.
    Kessler won't matter much either.

There is absolutely no question that Prime Roy Jones beats Calzaghe to the pulp...but the current version is much too faded. His handspeed and reaction are not the same anymore man, he slowed down ALOT. In terms of power, he couldn't put away Tito Trinidad in 12 rounds...

Hopkins was always looking to counter and it made Calzaghe think twice before throwing his combos....but with Roy Jones covering up on the ropes Calzaghe will throw everything in his arsenal.

With that being said, I doubt that Roy Jones has any power advantage or speed advantage over Calzaghe at this point of his career.

If Roy has one last great fight left in him, I pray to the heavens that this is the one. A miniscule of what he was is all that is needed. :yep

If not, I'm so ****in angry that Calzaghe will have Roy on his resume. I'll admit it. But truthfully, it's not really a fight Calzaghe should be chasing.

If Floyd gets punished for fighting Dela Hoya, is this not the same? Perhaps worse?

Well, I don't think calling him shot deserves that reaction.

If not shot, still clearly part his best.

lol@ you banking the entire fight on RJJ being on the ropes....:-(

Joe doesnt have enough pop to stop RJJ, RJJ will let his hands fly....:thumbsup

Roys only chance is a lucky shot,Cal will push him to the ropes and keep him there and probably koes him.
Roy is way past his best.

    Well said KO Boxing..

    Jones is shot.
If JC can really hit..Fight Pavlik..It should be an easy win.
However, slap Pavlik, and he'll walk you down with horrible results.

No dumbass He's saying Jone's cat-like reflect which made him the fighter he was in his younger days is no longer there. He doesn't have a real text book defence so he relies on that peakabo by covering up and when you are covering up and stationary with someone like Joe you will be overwhelm by his workrate. Jones may still have quick hands but he doesn't throw combos anymore and Joe still quick enough to avoid Jones potshot while dishing out his combos.

Jones his condition ain't the same anymore. He gas easily and he'll get outworked by Joe.

    Clear UD for Joe

You know im a bi baffled since when does Jones gas ???He's 3 fights deep all won by ud ..His last fight with Tarver he lost by ud but he was far from gassed ..And you said that f you cover up in front of Joe with that peak a boo defense you will get outworked ..News flash Jones hand speed is as good as Joe if not better with more pop !!!!!!!!!

And he doesn't thrw combos anymore ? Was the last fight you sa of JONES the ko by Tarver ?Because its clear you have not paid attention as to where he is on his comeback !

Pressure will put you against the ropes. His lack of a true defense will lose him the fight, as I've said he can stand there and cover up while Joes throwing combo or being against the rope and cover up he'll still be overwhelm by the "pity pat shots" it doesn't matter whether he's on the ropes or not. He's still getting outworked.

Why are you bringing up Jone-Ruiz? you relize that was a prime Jones right? who had great relex and footwork then..but now it's a completely different story.
