Well, nothing works as it is supposed to in boxing.

But you have to try to hold it to some sort of standard, in spite of all the nonsense.

This is incorrect. Mayweather was off the list after ONE YEAR of inactivity...so in December (one year form the Hatton win) he was taken off the list. It wasn't until he beat JMM that he was put back on.

Manny, Floyd, Sergio, Cotto, JMM, Bradley, Klits are on the way out. The new/fresh blood will be replacing them shortly and that list is led by the likes of:

    GGG
Rigo (although he's old too, but cream of the crop for the new cast)
    Mikey Garcia
    Andre Ward
    Roman Gonzalez
    Canelo
    Hopkins :rofl
*I know I'm leaving people off the list, unintentionally, but these are the big names that come to mind

@DKD I think since 09" fighters that they have fought that have technically been on the P4P list between the two Pacquiao:Marquez(#6), Bradley (#7), Marquez IV(#4), Bradley II (#3). Mayweather:Marquez (#2), Mosley (#3), Guerrero (#10), Alvarez (#10).

While I think we can all argue the validity of every rating a few notes.
Technically they've had the same # of fights vs P4P ranked opponents(4) Mayweather has fought more P4P fighters (4, 2) and has a better record (4-0, 2-2(1)). I also think Mayweather arguably has 3 of the best 4 wins (1/2 in any order taking Alvarez's and Bradley's 0 were big after that I think Mosley coming off Margarito & Marquez even with the weight BS would be the next best win.

Should be interesting to see who Pac picks next now that we know Mayweather-Maidana II is next.

He's great for beating Morales, Barrera, and Marquez primarily. Also, beating Hatton, Oscar, and Mosley was a more impressive feat for him than for Floyd Mayweather because Pacquiao is a naturally smaller guy and has to climb a couple of weight classes to do the same things as the larger Floyd. If a lightweight beats the same people as a welterweight, then the lightweight's accomplishment is greater. Simple as that. If Floyd Mayweather had beat the same guys that Sergio Martinez beat, Mayweather would look more impressive and have a higher pound for pound ranking. Imagine if instead of fighting Victor Ortiz, Robert Guerrero, and Maidana, Mayweather had taken on Paul Williams, Kelly Pavlik, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.? That's sort of what Pacquiao did.

Another lie. Floyd fight night weight is a couple pounds heavier than pac on average. So don't pretend that pac is fighting bigger guys and floyd ain't.:deal

blah blah blah ... not that impressive considering when Floyd wasn't on vacation, Floyd was higher on the P4P.

Pac was so happy when Floyd went on vacation. He was actually higher than Floyd. When the Lion King returned, Pac took his rightful place on the P4P list below TBE. FACT!
