Yeah, no doubt. The Welsh fans were a fantastic bunch last night. A real credit to boxing.

A fair point about the Weslh fans, although bear in mind there were several thousand English Calzaghe fans in attendance.

I agree though, booing the US anthem is embarrassing, and you'll find no one more patriotic than me

 

i am also english but when the english fans travel abroad be it supporting boxing or soccer they are an embarrassment, loads of mouthy, fat beer swilling idiots .

I think you'll probably find that the next English fight, fans will be be equally as respectful as they were last night. A regretfully isolated incident - I hope, and one that needs laying to rest.

Can I also add that the American anthem sounds so much better when it's sung as it was written - note for note. It's a great anthem - and I feel sad when it's given a working over by someone better employed to program vocoders, like last nights "attempt".
