Nah. A true great fights for more than just money. They seek out the very best to prove they are the best and build a legacy worth talking about for generations to come. Retiring when your own weight class is full of talent and on fire when you are still in your prime is a complete joke. He just sits around waiting for a beatable fighter to get a decent win and gain some attention and he's on them like flies around ****. He's also the most boring man in boxing. I've sat and watched interviews of fighters that went on for an hour or so and still wanted them to carry on. Seen fighters speaking at dinners, charity events and press conferences. I can't manage more than five or six minutes listening to Floyd. He never has anything interesting to say, no class, no personality and no balls.
Nobody will ever take Robinson's place as GOAT. However, I think he has the GDOAT (greatest defense of all time) and that he's a lock for top 30. He'll probably be top 25 or even top 20 (doubtful unless he finally fights and retires Pacquiao) on many P4P lists depending on what he does with his few remaining fights. I think he might be the best SFW of all time, where he was a ridiculously dominant boxer-puncher. His longevity at the top, defensive wizardry combined with pinpoint accuracy, the number of championship fights he's been in combined with his spotless record, highest +/- ratio ever, and the shitstorm that strikes whenever the man loses even a few rounds are all testament to his greatness. Enjoy him while you can, he's on his way out. (You might notice a lot of parentheses, "probably", "might" and "ifs", that's because I don't really believe in being official about a fighter's rankings before he's even retired.)
We all know your agenda, but please don't be ridiculous. You're acting like the *******s and making mayweather fans look bad by writing dishonest stuff like this. Don't sink to their level man.
So if he fights Pac as his last fight he will be considered greater than he is now even though that fight should have happened 6yrs ago? I would put him up there top 30 with or without that Pac fight because its just meaningless now.
His best win is Corrales. He'll go down, rightfully, as about as good as prime Mosley and prime De La Hoya.
And many boxing historians have Harry Greb ranked over Benny Leonard, but it was Leonard who was voted Boxer of the Decade over Greb.
