In the scenario where the Porter fight doesn't go ahead and its down to Brook shitting out? His options wouldn't look great, but he'd still be highly ranked amongst the sanctioning bodies I'd expect.

Dependent on how you look at it, it's either a fantastic or awful time to be a Welterweight. He could have a little run at someone like Andrade or Molina at Light Middle, seeing as he likes a good meal, or wait for Pac/Floyd to retire and go at a vacant title when the title picture is a little more wide open.

It wouldn't be a great situation to be in, but its not a retirement situation I wouldn't expect.

All that said I expect this one to go ahead and Brook to push on a bit, but I expect he'll likely get beat by one of the top fighters, possibly Thurman and maybe even Porter, then it will be the standard British excuse for a loss (the weight wasn't right, I've grown out of Welterweight, you know the Khan/Cleverley defence) and off to light middle.
