    Good move for Gamboa.
He has the style that Mayweather can only make better.

I don't think thats a good idea. This style requires a granite chin and a 1 punch knockout power to be successful.

Granted Tyson had a good chin but his power was not Foreman type power. His best attribute was handspeed which was faster than some MWs.

Did Gamboa not just suffer a knock-out loss or is he somehow still on top?

This is a perfect fight for the winner to get back in the spotlight.

Freddie is better for Gamboa than Floyd Sr.

Freddie would tell Gamboa to keep his damn hands up. Floyd Sr will try to teach Gamboa the shell defense, which means he will continue to keep his hands low and get caught again.

I'm completely shocked at this whole situation, a standout amatuer that has a horrible defense and throws the basics out the window when he gets hit? It's crazy

I'm in the Roach camp, if he hasent learnt how to defend given the exp he has he ain't gonna, best utilise his best weapon, his offense and fight at a weight which suits his height

I must confess Floyd Sr is the best

Juanma vs Garcia is still a great fight

Salido would knock him out though

The guys the best? He's a self promoting nonce , I am a huge PBF fan but his father is so self consumed it's disgraceful

The manor in which he claimed to train Ricky Hatton in the build up to the PAC fight was a complete disgrace

Anyone who employs Floyd Sr as a trainer deserves all he gets

Yes but he didn't have the Foreman type power. His power is elite but Foreman was on anothe level.

    Exactly.

Gamboa has a short stature, but lots of explosive athletic ability.

He doesn't need to fight off the backfoot, where his opponents will likely have the advantage with their size and reach.

Sure Gamboa might have a reputation for having no chin, but that's because when he punches, his chin is sticking right up in the air.

    Great move by Gamboa.

Faced with a taller, larger fighter Gamboa's defence went to hell in the middle rounds. These are things that Mayweather can help him improve on.
