Pullin a ***** move? Not at all. It was smart, and obviously pretty funny too. Why not take advantage of the rule? It's there, after all.
I don't like alot of what Nard id, but he fought a smart fight...he's a vet at this stuff, and it almost worked
not posted on here for months but just wanted to say RUMSFELD YOUR A ****! not so gobby now are you you wanker!
That was a ***** move plain and simple ecspecially from a fighter who talks so much bravado of fighting till the end and being a killer in there. It was pathetic he claims old school but would Archie Moore ever pull a ***** move like that.
Are you proud of the fact that you come off across as an ignorant ass *****? Everything you say is ignorant...."he couldn't do that in the streets...", "couldn't do that in the pen".atsch ***** this is BOXING. Not street fighting, not prison fighting. Your objective is to win the fight, if you need a breather at 43 years old, you use a veteran move to try to find one. Veteran move by Hopkins. You sounding like Riley "Escobar" Freeman right now.
You have no idea how the punch affected him. If it slipped his junk out of the cup, which I have happened to me while getting hit playing football, that **** is painful.
It was a bit of a ***** move but frankly it was damn smart what he did and i have no major complaints
I guess youve never worn a protective boxing cup before. #1. That was a graze of a slap. #2. It didnt hit his cup region, it hit just under his waist. #3. The protective cup is built for real punches right on the crotch. I GUARANTEE that even if Hops got grazed by that slap right on the crotch it wouldnt have hurt him. The protective cup is pretty sturdy.
I try to give guys the benefit of the doubt on that, but the second one made it pretty clear to me that he was looking for a way to catch his breath. This is the same guy who started windmilling his right arm after it had been damaged due to a body slam, just so he could knock out Echols with that same arm. Sad to see him resort to that tactic, but can't say I was surprised. Anyway, the right man won and I won't dwell on it.
Both. Smart in the sense that Hopkins did what it took to gain a breather, and it benefited him in the fight. He looked better after the rest. ***** move because he was acting, plus it's coming from one of the dirtiest fighters in recent years. But Hopkins has always actually done **** like that. In the 2nd Allen fight, he was acting all mad because Allen was fouling him, but Hopkins was fouling him more. Hopkins was hit low by DLH and kind of turned to the side to look to the ref. He's always tried to do **** like that to get a point deducted from his opponents or to **** them off, but he took it to a new level with his Ruiz-like acting a couple days ago.
