GB is just a contractor Floyd's team pays to promote the fight. And from what I've seen, Oscar is crappy at speaking and promoting Canelo v Lara. Bob has to be happy with the new GBP, the old one run by Schaefer was taking him to school and cutting into his profits.

they (schaeffer and haymon) made gbp the best boxing promotion company in the world. oscar is just too stupid to understand. he let kathy duva throw a wrench in the game. at least he's smart enough to realize he should continue business with al haymon. kathy banked on a homotional response from oscar when she came out with that lame ass lawsuit. oscar bit the bait.

Al Haymon needs GBP.

Al Haymon Fighters need GBP.

GBP can and will continue to sign new talent, promote them, craete them, and sell them to us. Haymon doesn't do that. Haymon looks out for the best interest of his fighters, and their best interest is to fight for Golden Boy Promotions, STILL the most prestigious promotional comapny in the business.

 

And this upsets you because.....

 

Can't we just agree that they all need each other?

 

Oscar is actually an awful speaker, but he is a great promoter. Oscar is loved by the mainstream, he has Hollywood looks, and is a good sells man.

The only thing Oscar has to fear is that if his fighters are not signed to contracts, he may lose "some". But in boxing talent comes and goes, it's not like these are the only fighters. GBP will continue to dominate the market, its a HOUSEHOLD NAME and a great BRAND.
