Damn! Lara was so out of range throughout the majority of the fight that he couldnt land anything meaningful. Running is not ring generalship. Dude was literally runnnig. Anyone could get in there, run around in the ring against an opponent and call it "ring generalship". Even when the ref broke them , lara was already running on break.Even when throwing his basic one-two right down the middle, he was so far out of range that even though he would catch Canelo with the end of his punches, Lara was so out of range his 1-2 had 0 effect. The majority of the fight Lara put at least 5-7 feet between them. What the fk it that sht?!That is a style more suited for the amateurs.

Lara should never be on prime time anymore.

I wouldnt be surprised if GBP does not give him a slot on TV. I hope they dont. Lara has possibly the worst sportsmanship I have seen ever. Talking **** to GBP, comments, etc...GBP, dont give him anymore TV time. After all, Lara talked major sht to ODLH who is one of the big players of boxing.

he did very well early dodging that leaping right hand from canelo (that pissed me off because he just kept goin for it an it was well off target) but the body work slowed lara down in the mid to late rounds. he needed to throw more if he wanted this fight, outbox, get him frustrated like he did then hed throw a crisp 1-2 backing up and the left would land.. he would do this alot slowly back up and then strike forward like a mongoose with the 1-2, stun canelo then get out and it worked but hed only do it twice a round and then canelo would manage to get in some great body shots throughout the rest of the round so i found it hard to give alot to lara. i think if the rematch happends (and i dont think it will, canelo took a dangerous fight and no one can knock him for that but you only get 1 shot at the title and lara blew his by losing in very boring fashion. if it was a barn burner then hell why not but no one is going to purchase the rematch)

Lara was scared to engage, and was under whelming in the biggest opportunity of his career..You can't call that ring generalship unless you count skipping around.. He never controlled the tempo of the fight, unless you count Canelo chasing him all night.

If you're gonna use that much footwork, make sure of 2 things.

Make sure your offense is active when you stop.
And making sure you're making your opponent miss.

That wasn't ring generalship. He was still getting caught. Lara's defense isn't what people make it out to be.

True you can't compare Lara to Rigo. Rigo gets a lot of flack for being too defensive but he landed almost as many power punches in his last fight as Lara's total punches landed. Rigo can and will hurt you if given the opportunity while Lara last night made Canelo miss and refused to capitalise.

The distance Lara was looking to put between himself and Canelo was ridiculous. There were moments Canelo was actually jogging in the ring to make up the distance.

Only Carl Froch can knock this guy out, dude's uppercut comes from halfway of the ring..... No distance is safe from him when he's in the center.....

Canelo will have to chase chickens around for training if he ever gives Lara a rematch

    Lara doesn't deserve it though

Lara has to realize this isn't Cuban Boxing School, this is professional boxing. Nobody wants to watch you run and throw a couple of one, twos a round. You have to at least try to put some hurt on your opponent. I don't think he has anything to complain about, he had his chance and played it safe.

Thanks, I was going to put that but I didn't want to look up how to spell amatuer. Same thing. I don't think Lara really opened up once the entire fight. Even in the last round when he had to know the fight was up for grabs, he did nothing. You gotta sell tickets in this biz and people aren't going to pay big money to see a guy who fights like that. Well, at least I won't

lara's arm must be 9 ft long.

that dome got snapped over and over it was really funny.

drainelo had no answer. had he ever hit lara flush once?

his hooks mostly landed at the back or hip.

his shoe shining body shots mostly on lara's elbows.

drainelo vs. air, drainelo won no contest.:hi:

Lara never controlled the tempo of the fight as mentioned. Watch Algeri vs Ruslan for a beautiful example of ring generalship
