114-113 Hopkins, so says the Associated Press, ESPN.com and many ESBers.

Enzo probably just said that **** to make Calzaghe do everything he could to secure the win, give him a sense of urgency....I don't know though.....I can only speculate on **** like that.

What I SAW though with my own eyes is that Calzaghe was starting to turn it on, Hopkins was appearing tired, and then Hopkins pulled a ***** move.

So I'm sorry. I had to call it. Hopkins lost the fight because of that ****. I was hopin a fight would break out at some point during the match and just as one was starting to break out, Hopkins pulled a ***** move.

That was disrespectful. He shoulda taken his beating like a man.

As for the first part, it's called a motivational tactic. Trainers do it all the time

As for the second part, Hopkins didn't do any damage past the first round and from round 4 forward all he did was run, hold, and throw 20 ineffective punches a round

If Hopkins really thought he was winning he wouldn't have pulled that low blow horse****. That's the sign of a desperation, he knew he was losing and he tried to get points deducted or get Joe DQ'd

Have you ever watched Hopkins fight? The low blow was a first. Hopkins is a counter puncher. When have you ever seen Hopkins be the aggressor?

I'll give you that. True indeed it was a ***** move. But you gotta understand you're dealing with a wily ******* in that Hopkins.

You still didn't answer the question about Joe's "punches landed" and Hops' lack of "damage sustained." What you did instead was tell me about when you believe Bernard stopped damaging Calzaghe. If he even stopped after round 1, then he has 1 more than Calzaghe (which turns into 2 with a KD). Now we're judging effective aggression, the operative word being "effective". If Joe "landed" all these punches yet Bernard looks like he just came outta the Beauty Parlor you tell me just exactly how effective was Joe C's aggression? Joe C, on the other hand, visited the canvas and was cut yet all Hopkins was doing was running, holding, and throwing ineffective punches. If what Joe C did was throw effective punches then I'll take my chances with throwing ineffective ones any day.

I had four rounds that could have gone either way. I scored the fight 114-113 Calzaghe, but I could see it being anywhere from 114-113 Hopkins to 116-111 Calzaghe.

It was a tough fight to score.

    So says the "esteemed" poster.

To the topic, I think it could've gone either way but definitely, Hopkins was not dominated.

Honestly I thought it was a absolute disgrace that 1 judge gave it to Bernard. It couldnt have been any more clear that Joe won the fight.

thats exactly how I feel about anyone who thinks Bernard won the fight. And "all I can muster up"? This coming from a guy who posts Dan Rafaels scorecard, as if anyone is supposed to give a ****, and says stuff like "his face wasnt even marked up", as if we are supposed to score a fight by just looking at their faces at the end of 12 rounds. And this is the kind of crap you use in your thread to claim that B-hop won.

I don't know man, alot of people are giving way too much credit to Joe's ineffective aggression and slaps, the guy was putting absolutely nothing on his punches.

I witnessed. The man was so goddam slaphappy.

For the record, so that the rest of the ESB community is aware, under standard boxing rules 0 points are awarded for slapping your opponent.
