Kindof like an early Wlad. He dominated a prime Byrd and got a title defended it in grand fashion against solid top 10s- 20s consistently, then got stomped by a random fringe contender while he was waiting on Lewis. Yeah, I could see that happening to Fury....though making 5 defense of the HW title is still nothing to laugh about.:think
Fury is taking this fight with Chisora very seriously, he literally lives in the gym. As long as Peter keeps him in check I don't see him going off the tracks.
Fury has an awkward looking body and style, but he's highly effective. He has two common opponents with Vitali Klitschko, and handled both as easily as VK did. Tyson may lose, but it would be no cake walk. He's a world better than Wach, and a has a whole different level of athletic ability and fluid movement. I'm not sure that boxing has ever seen a guy this big that is this talented.
Wlad wants no part of Fury... or Chisora. The winner of that fight should get to fight Wlad and end his reign of disgrace
Your'e right, and as a fan, it worries me. The way he handled the letdown of the Haye backouts was ridiculous. He blew up near 300 lbs and has to work like mad to get back into fighting shape for Chisora. Not every big fight is gonna come thru, and some letdown is to be expected. Thats what a good mgmt system is in place for, to have a high profile sparring partner on speed dial for the 96 hour replacements. Guys like Tank Williams and Kerry Hope would have been suitable last second replacements, hell, Eddie Chambers woulda stepped in for a shot. I mean, the $$$$ comes and goes, but the letdown of not making a fight after 2 months of intensive training can be fixed with good mgmt.:think
Pulev #1 contender in the world, signed up next. Check. Before him, #1 contender Povetkin, wba champ Povetkin. Before him, #1 contender and wba champ, Haye. Wladimir fights literally every top guy in the division indiscriminately. Now, just hypothetically, if he fights Stiverne (given Stiverne beats whoever he is fighting next, and Wlad beats Pulev), will you cry "duck" and claim Wlad is ducking Fury? Or, if he fights Fury instead of Stiverne, will you cry "duck" again, this time for the poor Haitian? If so, then you're firmly set on the path of ******ation, a path well traveled by the likes of duckvelt, derric, boyracer and the other mental midgets before them. If you run fast, you may still catch up to sweetscienceguru, he is the guy in the "I love Lomachenko" t-shirt.
That's because you're using your brain when analyzing the potential matchup. Only when you turn your mind blank, free your body from the burden of intelligence, will you see it clearly: Wlad losing by a devastating Ko in the opening seconds of round 1.
