Hey guys, Did you notice right after the bell rang ending the fight, Canelo's body language was not indicative of a man who believed he had won the fight? Lara, conversely did believe he had won. Canelo eventually raised his hand in a perfunctory, disingenuous manner but I wasn't fooled. After being given the decision he changed his tune, but body language speaks volumes. Just wondering if anyone else caught this. I love Canelo and give him enormous credit for taking that fight but I scored it 115-113 for Lara.
After the bell, Canelo looked like a fighter who had been in a tough close fight. When the winner was announced he celebrated by raining his arms as any fighter would. This was a close fight with some clsoe rounds, I'm sure Canelo wasn't keeping a scorecard. Canelo is class. In the post-fight interview Canelo said he respects Lara, and said lara was a good fighter. Lara said he had no respect for Canelo. Canelo also said the truth, what everyone was thinking about Lara's terrible display of entertainment. Canelo understands boxing is a business and he is there to put on a show for the fans. All Lara kept saying is that he made Canelo look bad in front of his people.
Close fight that could have went either way. http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/opin...lara-showdown/ Out of 89 media score cards 34 had it for Canelo, 30 Lara and 25 draw.
I love Canelo and wasn't criticizing him or praising Lara, I was just pointing out that via his body language, he did not appear to believe he had won.
Canelo is not the c0cky, or arrogant type. He is a true alpha, doesn't overreact, doesn't say more than what is necessary. I'm sure he thought he won, but in boxing, how can you not worry when the scorecards are being read, especially after they say it's a splt decision win....Everyone will be crossing fingers.
Canelo should have just stood in the corner and shadowboxed for 12 rounds. Lara wouldn't have come near him and the judges surely would have given each round to Canelo XD
"drainelo" actually showed improved stamina in this fight. I heard he did more swimming in camp. He also threw less punches than normal which helped as well.
Lara does not have an ounce of black in him . He is 100% Cuban . All because he has a very dark complexion does not mean anyone can label him as black because at the end of the day he is not an African-American .
