Canelo really needs someone to teach him how to close distance. Far too many times was Lara just. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lhvfbpLnMb1qck7h1.gif Look at how Floyd closed off the escape route with his front foot and a jab to keep Ortiz into going where he wants him to go. http://gfycat.com/UncomfortableImpeccableBonobo http://gfycat.com/HeftyLightCrocodileskink Canelo needs better fundamental training. Rushing to the pros has left him lacking in a lot of areas. He needs a trainer change, so he can learn more things than just flashy combos.
lara didn't run. he used lateral movement. footwork should be the foundation of every boxer. apparently, canelo skipped those days at the gym. ortiz has shitty footwork which is why floyd was able to cut the ring on him so easily. floyd couldn't do that to lara.
Yup that's true. Still lacks head movement and tho has fast hands and good power, he goes in at a straight line. He ate alot of Lara headshots so he could land 3 bodyshots. He had to basically overpower Lara and walk thru his dangerous straight lefts, and tho it worked, I just had to cringe abit as he was taking unnecessary shots. Seemed most of Canelos shots were powershots too and rarely feinted. He looked out of his comfort zone trying to smother Lara. Needs to learn to be abit more versatile. Didn't throw many right hand leads followed by left hooks like your supposed to against a southpaw.
Do you still love us all? His footwork is fine he beat Lara didn't he. Hopefully most of his opponents won't run as much as he did, oh I mean use lateral movement because those body shots hurt like a motherf*cker.
he blocked most of the body shots. the lowblows were impossible to block. the ref was no where to be found. text book robbery.
Still, Canelo needs work. He's peaked under Reynoso's training. And what do you mean do i still love you all?
So the cut Lara had on his face was a bodyshot too? Lara needs to learn from Mayweather how to box, he looked he was running from immigration all night and forgot he was in a boxing match.
Canelo does need development in cutting the ring off, and he needs to work on getting his shots off quicker. It takes him too long to reset and throw once he's tracked down his man. Cutting off the ring more effectively with angles will help with that, too. As it stands, he's still vulnerable against movers. Lara just left too many scoring opportunities on the table.
Yes he was. He barely engaged. Running and advanced footwork are not the same. Lara spent 12 rounds avoiding Canelo. No ring generalship whatsoever.
Were you so drunk that you don't remember telling the whole forum you love them. In a thread you started.
Yep...I agree Opie has peaked and has serious defensive flaws that will get exploited!!! He has no lateral movement nor effective feignts....just that goofy half ass bob and weave Tyson imitation while he's out of range!!!
