Canelo clearly beat Trout in my book. His fight with Lara was very close and you can score it for either fighter depending of what you like in a fight. I've notice that we don't have the same scoring criteria with you and that is ok. That said I don't see why you have to whine about Canelo taking very though fights and not completely blowing out his opposition. It's normal both Lara and Trout are skillful southpaws and people are not exactly lining to fight them. Also I really think that it will add to your analysis if you use capital letters at the beginning of your phrases.

C'mon now not even Pacquiao or Floyd were huge ppv stars at 23. Lara didn't deserve the win either cuz he was getting tagged too, body and head. Canelo the few times he went to the head opened a gash on Lara, while Lara with his best shot never even stunned Canelo.

Maybe but to bad Canelo can't cut the ring off to prevent him from skating off

Of course. If Canelo can beat two counter punchers who avoid fighting the plague, I'm more than sure he can beat the slower more stationary Cotto who gets tired after round 8.

Canelo impresses as he continues to improve and show willingness to learn.

I'll give it a shot.

Is it whining? NSAC is going to investigate Levi Martinez' score card. That should tell you something. As for Canelo winning against Trout in Texas...we'll agree to disagree. Outside of the knock down, Canelo really didn't do much. I don't think it's much to ask for, from a fighter who is being sold as a PPV attraction...learn to cut the ring!!! Stop swing at air!!! Learn to feint attack!!! Learn to mix it up, and if something isn't working, switch up your game plan.

Cotto might have enough left to finish what his brother started.

:good thanks it really looks better! He is getting better in my mind. He was able to realize that he was not going to catch Lara to the head so he switched to the body attack that was pretty effective. He hurt Lara a couple of times to the body and with the uppercut. I honestly expect Canelo to beat Cotto if they fight. His problem is that at 160 he will have to sooner or later face GGG and he will take a bad beating. I was personally impressed with his boxing ability against Trout but you are right that he has to work on footwork and feints.
