Makes no sense.... Saul Alvarez fights everyone, he manages to win against the hardest styles for him. He actually comes to entertain, and is respectful as he can be to the fans and his opponents, yet people hate on him??

    He doesn't duck fighters.
    He willingly fights the BEST.
He hasn't taken on an easy opponent in his last 4 fights, possibly 5 if he fights Kirkland.
    He is nothing but class.
He respects and appreciates his fans.

Seems many hate him for something that he has no say in, and that is that there is always one judge in his fights that scores it too wide.

Although he has always got fair decisions so far, some are wider than they should be.

Because he's getting too much attention. Anyone that gets too much attention seems to be hated by the general public.

Because hes way overrated and his post fight interview was a disgrace. Moaning about lara just because he doesnt have the skills to cut off the ring.

What hate? Pretty much every top fighter has their fans and their critics. Generally, the fans will think the fighter receives too much hate. The critics will think the fighter gets too much praise.

I totally agree. I like the guy. 117-111 made me say, "come on now" but 115-113 either way or 114-114 would have been fine. What more could you possibly want from the him?

Rematch but not next. I don't think they match up well for an exciting fight. Kirkland would be a good next opponent, then Lara again, then Cotto, then maybe Andrade will be ready. Doubt he ever gets a rematch with Mayweather, doubt a Pacquiao fight is in the future. Just fight good JMWs and keep winning. Cotto at 160 is also fine but I don't think he should stay at MW afterward, not at this point anyway.

b/c up until he was GIFTED the Mayweather fight he'd been cherry picking opponents he could destroy and he still had moments he's looked vulnerable.

Yet, you got JCCJr who's supposedly being coddled fighting very solid competition since his 22nd fight.

And JCC Jr moved up in weight rather than dehydrating until he found his niche. He hung out at MW, one fight too long, and he lost.

Now, he's fighting at SMW, but he began as a SFW and grew thru 6 weight classes whereas Canelo continues to fight at LMW where he's at a huge advantage come fight night.

Most of my disliking him is a deflection of ppls hate for Jr, of whom Im a fan.

If Canelo steps up to Jr, he'll get his fukking cranium cracked.:deal:deal

Because of his hype, he never gets better and has all the casuals making him out to be a great, he hasn't had one fight in which you say he won easily against good competition, and also his backing by media giant Televisa that has given him everything

beats me. he chased lara all over the ring and tried to make a fight of it the best he could.

oscar was talking out of his ass about putting him in with triple G though.

Canelo deserves a lot of credit, he's fought a lot of hard to look good against guys and has done pretty good against most of them, I'm now a converted fan.

That being said he would be absolutely raped by JCC Jr and GGG.

Not hate. Just wonder WTF was that 117-111 score from Mexico nuevo.

Agree though. Canelo not afraid to take on the toughest guys out there when they're on an upswing. I didn't think he would give Lara and Trout fights as they were big risks who were going to box him. Despite being bad stylistically, Canelo still fought them. One thing you can't say about him is he is ducking anybody in his division.

You're telling us you wouldn't be here bitching if that score had been a more proper 115-113 for Canelo:think
