If you class this as a robbery , than the judges in the maywheater maidens fight should be jailed for life
Lara was robbed, throwing shots below the belt and hitting thin air doesn't win fights. What you call running is called defense and ring generalship, you are picking your spots where you want to hit the guy. Canelos punches were all partially blocked, where as lara was hitting him with clean effective punches that were twisting canelo's head back. As for aggression, sure canelo came forward but his aggresion was ineffective, lara threw pointed lazer punches that landed and his aggression was more effective. Anyone who scores the fight for canelo would have to score most ali and willie pep and floyd fights as losses because they didn't stand toe to toe and get their brains beat out.
i think it will kill his fan base. a lot of the ppl i watched the fight with were turned off by the decision and like him less for it. canelo could have been humble about it and stated that he didn't score the fight or something to that effect...but he seemed almost arrogant when his body language suggest different when the fight was over.
89 media score cards, 34 for Canelo, 30 Lara and 25 draw, regardless who you thought won it was no robbery.
no wasn't a robbery but it did destroy laras carreer, who wants to see a supposed professional fighter run for 12 rounds? if anything it strengthened canelos career because the majority of fans appreciate that canelo comes to fight.
Run away from Vegas even Floyd is not safe remember the draw from one of the judge in his fight with Canelo I hope this guy (Levy Martinez) never scores another fightl the NBC will talk to him regarding his scoring.
MOre than likely an anti-canelo group(Cinnamon haters/Lara nughuggers) who was hoping to see him lose and was simply pissed off when Canelo got the just decision.:deal
This content is protected You should spend more time on hoping that Lara learns his lesson and cuts his running in half.
Does the robbery destroy Canelo's career or credibility? I doubt it. Look let's face it, Oscar De Lahoya, Canelo's promoter, with the amount of controversial decisions that he was involved in whether they were in his favor (Whitakker, Quartey & Sturm) or against him (Trinidad & Mosley2) never suffered the worse for it and while I'm not exactly grooming Canelo to be as good or great as Oscar was he, just like Oscar, will not suffer the worst for it. Especially if GBP's matches him up properly as far as immediate opposition is concerned.
