How can anyone definitively say that Hopkins faked those low blows?

Video evidence shows that Hopkins WAS in fact hit low. Whether or not it hurt him... is something that NONE of us can know for sure. Furthermore, when Max Kellerman asked Hopkins about it... well he gave us an in depth answer. If I recall correctly, in response to Kellerman saying it wasn't a very hard blow Hopkins said "It knocked my privates out of my cup."

I think its obvious that Hopkins put on a bit of a performance in terms of buying more TIME. But he WAS hit low.

So how do so many people on this forum today know for sure that he was 'cheating'?

I think he probably was acting a bit... but seeing as he WAS hit low, how can anyone call it cheating? You just don't know.

Unless that is, you have some kind of inside information regarding Bernard's balls. If that is the case... well just keep it to yourselves actually.

He was hit low and he was moving forward when Calzaghe slapped him in the balls. If they played it real time then it would of looked far worse. They kept playing it in slow motion like that shows us the gust of it. It was not like the uppercut Judah gave floyd to the balls but it probably hurt like a *****.

They can't, although the 2nd one seemed very questionable. But to Cortez's credit, he didn't even think about awarding another five minutes.

If you're hit low you're allowed up to 5 minutes to recover. Hopkins was hit low and took a couple of minutes recovery time. He was within the rules. I'm sure the low blow didn't hurt him that much and that at 43 he certainly used it as an opportunity to get a well needed rest.

After that he doubled over grabbing his nuts trying to get a point deduction when he wasn't even hit low. That was the fake. Then Cortez said you didn't get hit low. It still bought him a 10-20 second breather.

Err ok. I'll just answer your question by saying that I don't see a distinction between 'faking' and 'putting on a performance'.

I once got grazed by a slap right under my waist.

I almost grabbed a gun and shot myself just so I wouldnt have to endure that wretched pain.

He has Hide-esque punch resistance in his nackers.

It was sheer bull****, and I said it once, I'll say it again. I can take a ****ing baseball bat and swing it at you're crotch when you have the guard on and you won't feel jack ****, they gotta stop playing it off like it hurts. Thats embarrassing to Hopkins that he had to pretend like it hurt to get a five minute rest. If I was Hopkins and I truly thought Calzaghe hit my ****, I wouldn't walk away like it hurt, I'd ****ing fight harder just to prove that nothing you do hurts me. But bhop didn't do that, he decided to play it off like a *****.

#1. That was a graze of a slap.
#2. It didnt hit his cup region, it hit just under his waist.
#3. The protective cup is built for real punches right on the crotch. I GUARANTEE that even if Hops got grazed by that slap right on the crotch it wouldnt have hurt him. The protective cup is pretty sturdy.

That's a scurilous and unwarrented slur on the Hopkins Family Jewels!

The punch, no wait, slap, err no, backhand brush clearly contacted the abdomen area, which is obviously pure china. The knackers were blameless!

Perhaps if he was ****ing his own belly button, otherwise, he was after a breather.

FAKING would be pretending you got hit when you didn't.

PUTTING ON A PERFORMANCE would be acting more hurt than you really are when you are hit low.

    ITS NOT THAT COMPLICATED!!

The slow motion showed after the fight displayed clearely that Joes' left to the body would not have been low had not slopkins pulled Joes' head down, with his left, and pulling Joes' left hand down with his right,,,that is hat lead to that, joe was not at fault there, Slopkins was

When he got bent out of shape in the post fight interview, I knew for sure he faked it (not that I didn't know before)
