Jeff Left Hook Lacy was knocked out by a Cuban journey man fighter, but Lacy claims the fighter that he fought in the ring was a different person from the fighter in the promotion and weigh in. Jeff Lacy claimed it is possible he had a twin brother because there was a massive size increase from the previous day. Does any one believe Lacy's story.

Hold up....you got a link to this????

First, Savigne is NO journeyman.:nono If he is, then Lacy is a club fighter.

But, Lacy was always a NO EXCUSES type of fighter. No nonsense, and Savigne did look like a HW in there.

I wonder if this story might actually have some legs. :think

Fill us in where you read this.:think

I read about this on fightnews.com, the fighter that he got knocked out by was Umberto Savigne who had a record of 12-1. I'm not sure but the fighter he faced in the ring looked way bigger than the one at the weigh-in, just google Jeff Left Hook Lacy and fightnews.com shows the story, crazier things have happened in boxing.

    Complete bull****.

Savigne is possibly the best boxer out of Cuba from the past 10 years, never ever been a journey man. Just had really back luck getting out of Cuba.

Lacy got starched plain and simple.

I could see where Lacy might get that feeling.

At the weigh in Savigne is gaunt, like a crack head. But that is just dehydrating. I bet everyone who fought JCC Jr the past 3 yrs has thought he had a twin brother. I know Rubio musta thought so. They looked the same size at the weighin, but JR looked like a CW come fight time and Rubio was maybe 171/172.:think:think:think

Lacy says himself, he's no nonsense, and not trying to take anything away from Savgine.....but either Savignes got a CW twin or he's just one helluva a weight cutter.

Don't remember where I heard/saw this, but when Vitali took steroids to repair his injured knee in 95, and he'd already signed on for an amatuer team, everyone was freaking out that he would be banned when they said they'd found a suitable replacement and here comes Wlad. The guy running the show thought it was a joke...here was this great young fighter cut from the team and his replacement is him.:lol:

You never know......but I would never believe Tyson would let something like that fly.:huh
