My doctor says boxing has probably weakened my shoulder ligaments and is the cause of my shoulder pain.

I was wondering if any of you have some legit exercises to strengthen them?
I'm taking the next week or two off regardless, then i'll start the exercises.

It could be one of many things.

I used to suffer from aching in my shoulders due to rounded shoulders caused by a weak upper back in relation to my chest. I purchased a resistance band and started doing band pull aparts daily. Within 2 weeks the pain was gone. As a boxer this is more likely to be your issue too (weak upper back throwing your shoulder out).

That's interesting. I have had shoulder discomfort for years. I can make It crack or pop when I rotate it. The doctor said that it's just something some people have, so I'm not sure how to fix it. I think it's probably from a combination of boxing and baseball. Lifting weights or pullups aggravate it.

Most injuries occur because you have a dominant side, it alters the bodys tracking.

What virus said, but in reference to actually strengthening the ligaments themselves, nothing beats Turkish Get Ups or Hand Stand work.

If you do Turkish Get ups, you should probably compliment it with either Swings or Deadlifts.

I prefer Swings, but it's up to you.

    "Stop lifting weights"

    "Swing heavy kettlebell"

What is a kettlebell if not a weight? Or did I miss something?

I already tried some of that. Didn't feel much of a difference except circuit 3, barbell shrugs, that exercise i wouldn't reccomend from personal experience.

The absolute worst thing i tried out though was this vid.

That first exercise literally killed my shoulder lol it was supposed to make it better god damn it.

Do the exercises and use the 1-2 which make your shoulder feels better.

I now prefer using a light band rather than the stick.
