Alright so you all know that MMA and BJJ are my favorite martial arts. However, when I get in shape I was thinking about trying Boxing for fun. Like compete in two Boxing matches. Is it okay to do it for fun atleast? What are your thoughts on that?

Why does it even matter what people think?

Are you going to make your decision based on what we say? If so, trust me....you ain't got it son. Try stamp collecting...

Well it wouldn't be "matches" if you were only approaching it with a light hobby or general fitness mindset. Not in any official capacity - and I would even say to avoid smokers & gym wars if you are not committing yourself and taking it seriously in the utmost, or else you could very likely get badly hurt.

Maybe after working your butt off for a few months you could spar a couple of times and be able to say you climbed in the ring and did so in your life. You should never be involved with anything more than a light spar if you are only considering it a "hobby", though - or even just a means of getting in shape.

Thanks for telling me that man. Also, yeah you got a point I just want to do light sparring. Because I have no plans to do Boxing professionally.

Just go ahead and give it a try. When I started boxing I didn't really have plans on becoming a amateur boxer, but now I'm a amateur boxer competing in tournaments and fighting. I still have a long way before I get comfortable in the ring though.
