I remember once reading a story about Sonny Liston getting in a street fight with an NFL player (and winning easily obviously). A quick google search but I can't find it....does anyone remember it or have a link?

James 'The Devil' Stabler sparks these two bums out in the same night, with one hand tied behind his back.

Most boxers are from street fighting background and obviously moved to something more productive to channel their energy. There is no real diff all this boxer vs street fighter is bollox. Garantee most boxers will have had their fair share on the streets too. But obviously know what their doing through hours of training

I was an average boxer (or below) but won loads on the streets as a kid as basically most people don't have a first clue. A real pro boxer with a nasty streak is going to be untouchable pretty much.

A local guy was an undefeated am HW that loved street fighting he wd knock out groups of men and bouncers for fun. Can't imagine what a full blown pro HW wd be like against normal folks or supposed 'street fighters' or non trained fighters. It wd be a joke

much the same as what I said.

TOP Boxers/athlete's who were mean street tough are the real deal and would beat most in & around their weight. almost goes without saying.

but NOT all boxers are mean street tough, these can & do get beat by the real street tough guys.

Didn't Enzo Mac have a reputation for picking on bouncers?
