Canelo is NOT a great draw!

    His last two fights did less than 300,00 PPV buys each. How the heck is he going to take Cinco De Mayo back from Mayweather with those poor numbers?

    As a comparison, Judah vs. Mayweather did 350,000 buys BEFORE Mayweather fought the cash cow of boxing at the time, Delahoya. Canelo fought the cash cow of this era, Mayweahter, two fights ago and still is not breaking 500,000 PPV buys.

    What gives?

    in terms of being a draw he is a b class and the rest are sub d................. apart those 3 who are a class

    Pac routinely did 300k+ ppv buys and even a 425k ppv buys before fighting ODLH, at featherweight. Setting PPV records nomsaiyan?

    Yep much higher weight though. WW had a history of PPV stars, ODLH, SRL or SRR pre-ppv.

    Featherweight has never had a superstar, except for Naseem who never did those kinda numbers. The fact that Pac was doing it at a weight nobody was even suppose to know about was most impressive.

    He's pulling those numbers by himself, which makes him not that bad actually. Any great PPV numbers in the past are because you have 2 good draws going up against each other. As much as Floyd likes to boast about his numbers, he only does great ones when he fighting a big name and because of the mexican holidays he fights on.

    Put Floyd against a name like Lara on a non mexican holiday date and lets see how well he does :deal

    Him fighting Cotto on Cinco De Mayo is the only fight that he can take away that date from Floyd. And if you've already recognized that than you are underestimating the power of the P.R.-Mexico rivalry, the fact that is the both their numbers one's, and especially in combination with that date.
