I watched that fight at a Oscar love fest sports bar....the dudes were Oscar fans yet were hating on him because their babes were rooting hard on Oscar with some serious crushes. That was a crazy night....as some were ready to box in there. I had Oscar winning that fight....I'd have to rewatch it to provide you any scoring. However, though he coasted the final rounds I still have him winning convincingly!!! P.S....Sinclair isn't the only one they " took out " !!!
You know they can't score fights when they argue that Maidana won and Lara loss......just goes to show they are all stuck on only scoring for their favorite fighter. They worse than the judges in my opinion cause they'll come on these boards, have the truth presented right to their face, and they will still support the lie!!
If Canelo would of fought Floyd more aggressively he would of got his azz beat worse! The Canelo that fought Lara would get clowned by Floyd, Canelo couldn't even land over 100 punches on Lara, he wouldn't come close to landing on Floyd!! In the Lara fight he was bigger, slower, and dumber!
I thought Canelo won because of that left hook to the body. The number of poershots he landed won him the fight - but it was close. Lara should have tried setting his feet a bit more often, he can blame himself.
You can win fights by running, even if it looks bad. The winner is the winner regardless. If you don't have the ability to catch the runner then you are lacking something, end of.
7-5 canelo. If Lara would have fought like he did the first half in the second he would have won but he didn't. Canelo s body work in the second half was the difference.
The Alvarez/Lara fight further highlights the problem with boxing; the scoing system is very subjective. Complicating matters is the fact that many viewers don't seem to grasp the subjective nature of the scoring.
Canelo won the fight. Lara did well early but lost effectiveness as the fight wore on. canelos body work was solid and was better than anything Lara was doing offensively
Yeah I thought. Lara controlled early and Canelo controlled the 2nd half of the fight ..Me personally like I said this could have been scored a draw but I knew that of it went to the cards they would give to Canelo
Canelo's trainer said it best imo at the end of the epilogue. "Technical boxers move there waist or take small sidesteps to slip punches, running backwards to avoid engaging ain't defense." Which explains why 65/70% of boxer reactions I've seen said A.Lara lost & B.Lara was running.
