Everybody knows his hands are pretty much ground meat, it's truly is amazing how he's still undefeated. His spacing is the best I've ever seen and it's between him Pep and Whitaker as to whose the best defensive fighter of all time.

    Yup. Everyone knows this.

If his hands weren't so damaged, he would have at least a 90% KO rate

Not at ww or jmw.. can't say either way but I just Don't think he would have continued to fight like the 130 to 140 days. Total beast back then. But fighting that way is a recipe for getting ktfo and he wouldn't want to have that kind of embarrassment in his career

Good thing there is Xylocaine, which he uses all the time. I wonder why it is considered illegal on all the states except Nevada.

One would think that might help strengthen the hand

I'm trying to give the man some proper props and here you come with that bull****. Don't kill my thread with your overboardness. He'd have a lot higher KO% but not 9 outta 10.

Super bad analogy. My aunt never had balls while Floyd at one time had normal hands.

It's probably contributed to him developing the rest of his game.

Floyd times his punches better than any fighter I've ever seen. I don't think he'd be as good at that if he had one-punch KO power in his locker.

That he can't always land a blow to lay someone on their back means he's had to develop his skills in not getting hit too.

I think he'd have a few more KOs, but not a lot.

if he carried his power and he prob would but his power is average at best and he will slowly pile on pressure as the fight goes on however he seems to test the waters mid to late round to see if a knockout is possible then makes a decision to either play it safe or go ham (i think he was looking to end the cotto fight)
