Why Don't You Guys Like Women's Boxing? (***ism In Boxing?)

I don't like seeing women beat each other up, something about it bothers me.

 

The human body wasn't meant to take blows to the head. There is a reason why most boxers get out severely brain damaged.

So you can't say that women aren't built for it, while men aren't as well. Men just have a higher tolerance for it.

As for the person who says fighting is a male instinct, I free up doing plenty of martial arts styles and know a lot of female black belts that would kick your ass. Stop being so closed minded.

 

Women belong in the kitchen or do my laundry. They suck in every sport. If I was in charge, they should ban women boxing, soccer, basketball, ... It's just ridiculous.

 

It just has no appeal to me . Honest truth .

 

The only female fights I really really enjoy are the schoolyard/street fights where they rip one another's clothes off.

 

I don't mind it. I met Layla Mccarter playing poker and had a very interesting talk with her. I asked her why she wanted to get punched in the face for a living and all that stuff and she just gave the same answers any fighter would give. She's just wired that way and it's what she loves to do. Super nice woman. Not a trace of anger or instability. She's just a fighter.

She also showed me her best KO, which she had on her phone. South African girl who came into the fight 40 pounds heavier. It was pretty impressive. I'd go out of my way a bit to watch Layla fight, since I "know" her. Otherwise, if it's on the card, I'll enjoy it, though I can't imagine ever paying for a PPV or something.

Fighting in any scenario, is a survival tactic. It's a human thing.

 

That's where you're wrong .There are PLENTY of hot female boxers.

But you CAN say women aren't built for it.

If you punch a man in the stomach, the baby inside of him won't die, because he doesn't have one inside of him. (Some women have fought while pregnant because they fought in states that didn't require pregnancy tests.)

If you punch a man in the chest, he won't develop breast cancer. Whereas, many women develop breast cancer after taking a hard blow to the chest.

So, basically, you can't hit a woman above the waist on the front side of her body.

Most men can also take a blow to the head better than women because men naturally have wider, thicker necks, which prevent the head from snapping back - resulting in fewer concussions when the brain slams against the inside of the skull.

(This also plays a role in why few heavyweights die in the ring compared to the lightest weight classes. Most heavyweights don't tend to have long, thin necks. Although, drying out to make weight plays a big role in the lighter weight boxers suffering more fatal injuries, too. It's also been proven that headgear causes male fighters to suffer more concussions than fighters who don't because the wearing headgear increases the weight of the head, and it's easier to jar the brain inside the skull when the head weighs more than usual and the neck has trouble supporting or stabilizing it.)

That's what I meant by "they aren't built for it." Because they aren't.

If they want to do it, I'm not going to stop them. People do dangerous things all the time.

But womens' bodies and mens' bodies are VERY different. Medicine prescribed to both is very different. In fact, a lot of the over-the-counter medicine you see now that everyone takes is going to change in years to come because we are learning more and more about how mens' bodies and womens' bodies function very differently.

We're different.

As a side note, my wife watched a women's boxing match once and said she really liked it. She said she didn't get into men's boxing as much as she did watching women fight.

Maybe men like watching men fight because they can relate to them better than they can relate to watching women fight, and vice versa? Who knows.

All I know is I love boxing, but don't enjoy and I don't watch women fight.

 

I don't watch fights that don't have great athletes or uncompetitive match ups. Women fighters are never as good as men and their divisions are a fraction of the size, so way less competitive. I don't watch journeymen male boxers so why would I watch women?

 

I'd watch if they had some one worth watching like back in the day with Martin Lala Ali and Wolfe. Especially if they put it on the undercard of a PPV fight.
