So I just bought my first pair of gloves......

    ...... and the guy in the shop reckons that I should use them 4/5 times without wraps so that the gloves adjusted/moulded to the size/shape of my hands.

    Although I have just started boxing, I could already started to feel some slight discomfort in the knuckles (probably a combination of bad technique and not great quality gloves down the gym).

    Should I use them without wraps as he says?

    Or should I just start out with the wraps from the get-go?

    They are 160z gloves.

    Try just doing pushups (on a clean floor preferably) in the gloves without wraps.
    It'll shape the glove the guy recommended without risking injury.

    Starting out I never wore wraps... it'll fix your punching technique (or put you at serious risk for injury), but it's also likely to teach you how to hit without power.

    Ignore his advice - Always put your wraps on.

    You're hands and wrists will toughen up after a few weeks.
