...... and the guy in the shop reckons that I should use them 4/5 times without wraps so that the gloves adjusted/moulded to the size/shape of my hands. Although I have just started boxing, I could already started to feel some slight discomfort in the knuckles (probably a combination of bad technique and not great quality gloves down the gym). Should I use them without wraps as he says? Or should I just start out with the wraps from the get-go? They are 160z gloves. Thanks in advance Meolag
Try just doing pushups (on a clean floor preferably) in the gloves without wraps. It'll shape the glove the guy recommended without risking injury. Starting out I never wore wraps... it'll fix your punching technique (or put you at serious risk for injury), but it's also likely to teach you how to hit without power.
