Interesting how the best boxers are allows exploited and pinned in by greedy small minded Promoters and their lawyers.

Hopkins (King), Mayweather (Arum), ODLH (Arum), Rigondeaux (Arum), and now Ward (Goosen) have all had to suffer down time before they were able to get out of their slave contracts with their promoters before they could unleash their true potentials and become ATGs.

As they say, time cures all and with the passage of time we see Rigondeaux finally breaking free of Bi-Polar Bob Arum and on his way to making big fights and history.

Soon Ward will be at the end of his contract with Goosen and I don't doubt that he will make up for loss time by finishing cleaning up the SMW division before moving up and doing the same to the LHW division.

It may not happen in the short time that we all want it to but as they say, good things are worth the wait.
By the time Ward finally breaks free, the hype surrounding both GGG and Kovalev should have peaked.
Then Ward busts back on the scene and starts bursting those hyped bubbles.

Ward murders GGG and then moves up to school kovalev and Stevenson.

That's only because HBO and K2 wont let Triple Duck in the same timezone as Ward..

I've seen Triple Duck beat up on enough TOMATO CANs to know that he's nothing special. Ward beats the dog **** out of him - and so does the upper tier @ 168. He's lucky 160 is such a weak division...

But he would be more than comfortable at 175.

What gets me is the same people who are clamouring for award v Golovkin at 168 a weight which Golovkin has never fought at amateur or pro, are the same ones who are still reluctant to admit he's the number 1 at 160.

Golovkin is at the start of what could be a great run at his true weight of 160, award has already cleaned out his division, the next step is moving up and he has two champions in Stevenson and Kovalev who are willing to meet him.

I was a big critic if GGG at first but have started to warm up to him. I do think he has real skills and think he's being somewhat ducked at 160. If he can't get a fight with either Cotto or Canelo he should move up. He has guys there who will fight him guys like Kessler Froch Ward as well as others.

If HBO (not K2... HBO!) is that worried about Golovkin losing to Ward, it means they care to keep the Golovkin train going more so than they do Ward's career. It means they think Golovkin is more profitable than Ward is, which means they think Golovkin will attain PPV status before Ward does.

For a 3M fee, they got less viewers out of Ward-Rodriguez than they did for Golovkin-Stevens which they paid a lot less for. Makes business sense for HBO.

Dude quite with the GGG is star talk, it getting old. Fact is that Ward's last opponent made twice Golovkins highest pay day. If dude was a cash cow everyone will be lining up to fight him.

Is boxing a close fight before a mid-late rds KO over prime 2 time former unified Champion Daniel Geale proof enough?

And you know Soliman who's now 2X beat Sturm is calling on GGG next......would KOing Soliman who has only been stopped by technicality be enough????:think

    :deal

What HBO wants and what K2 wants might generally align but arent identical. That Ward is rumored to want to run back to SHO might also play into it.

Like I have said before.. GGG-Ward will happen when Golovkin is a big enough name to make and carry the whole promotion, and pay both guys.

HBO regular boxing wont cover the purse, it would cost a ton (minimum 4mil) and they have no business case for it when most people would be perfectly happy to see him fight Soliman or whomever for drastically less money.
