Robert Stieglitz vs. Sergey Khomitsky & Haxhi Krasniqi vs. Oleksandr Cherviak RBR

I don't sprechen ze Deutche, but can tell plain as day here that Schulz is shilling; he and his co-presenter hemming and hawing to justify the result. (or spin it like "Stieglitz was pitching a shutout anyway...", going by what fans on Twitter had to say about their commentary throughout...)

 

:conf In the replay they showed partway into the 9th when they first stopped to look at the cut, there was no punch shown landing for Stieglitz. Just a messy clinch where he led with the head a bit and Khomitsky got in a couple of incidental rabbit punches.

 

Wow. The result, Stieglitz, the ref, the WBO, the commission, and the RAN crew are being slated on Twitter (all by Germans), just raked over the coals. I can't remember ever seeing a universal backlash like this against someone from his own countrymen.

Hell, even Lazarte has ride-or-die fans in Argentina. :yep

 

Paraphrasing some of the **** being said by irate and embarrassed Germans:

"Watch for the Pole (referee Zbigniew Lagosz) to be driving a fancy new fresh-off-the-lot car tomorrow..."

"At least now we get Abraham vs. Stieglitz IV and the possibility of Abraham knocking him out cold for once based on the way he looked here..."

"I hope Abraham says F-U and finds someone else instead of wasting time with this joker again..."

"Pathetic performance, and shame on you for celebrating the cheap victory..."

Yeah, one Tweet just now said that bandages decided the struggle, not Stieglitz and Khomitky themselves.

Apparently his glove tape dissolved and it was during the confusion of figuring that out that Lagosz decided to rule a TKO over the cut. (though I'm not sure whether Lagosz ever actually staked his reputation on ruling it from a "punch"...)

It may be the delay in the corner was the excuse they used to stop it.

Robert could've been ruled knocked down from body shots in the 1st and 9th.
