i think ggg should win this rather easily, he looks much stronger than geale. the last time i saw a fighter look so mismatched in the weigh in was ward vs dawson. on paper this looks like the biggest test of ggg's career, but by the way geale looked at the weigh in compared to ggg, i'm not so sure about that.
geale is a 2 time world champion has a iron chin will be a tough fight but ggg is on his way to superstardom
definitely. after rethinking the situation. he'll get full credit for this win from me, it's not a huge win, but a good one for his resume.
As far as name Geale would probably be his best win to date regardless of how the fight plays out. I like GGG tonight, I think it's an all around good fight and the first steps towards determining the True MW Champ.
Geale isn't a **** fighter. A **** fighter doesn't go to Germany and win a decision over Sylvester and Sturm when Geale did it. Golovkin is a level above any fighter @160. Any combination of guys like Geale Macklin Murray Quillin N'Dam Stevens etc are good competitive entertaining fights between each other. None of those guys are good enough to beat Golovkin though, imo.
The same level as the Macklin that fought GGG? Damn. I'd have put Geale comfortably above that level.
Golovkin's level of opposition is about where Bute's was prior to his fighting an old Glen Johnson and culminating with Carl froch.
I agree and expect Geale will last more than the 2 or 3 rounds Macklin did. Geale to test GGG. Let's see how GGG responds.
Golovkin beat Geale, you mean. :good The way you worded that it was a Petri dish with ideal conditions to grow runaway obfuscation! It was a long time ago, both were in their late teens and neither remembers it all that well. But yeah, Golovkin outpointed him.
