    Same thing happened to Marvin Hagler during his early career as MiddleWeight Champ. Eventually...five great Middle weights showed up and he had 5 great fights in a row - Roldan, Hamsho, Leonard, Duran, Mugabe.

    Everyone you mentioned is a B fighter at best. and a step below GGG. Every fighter has the right to remain in his class, but GGG would be better teested leaving his before he gets too old. We as fans will get better fights at 168. He;s already 32. Only a matter of time before he slows down, and I want to see him against the best beforehand.

    He should attempt to unify which will be hard since I don't thnk there is much of a chance Quillen or Cotto fight him. But he is clearly too good for this division and any potential matchup at MW would be sending a lamb to slaughter at this point.

    That's why I feel he'd be better tested at 168. He's not a short guy. He's 5'11, most of the top SMW are around 6'0. And I can't see him having the chance to unify in my opinion. He's 32, better to move up now, than to move up later. Wins over Froch, Chavez Jr, Bika and potentially Ward, are way better for his resume than some reign at 160 in a weak generation of middleweights. In my opinion.

    Potentially. Nothing is set in stone.

    Quillen could trouble him in my opinion.

    I doubt it. I doubt any of these guys will face him.

    However, if they do, then they have my everlasting respect.

    I actually think he KOs them all. Canelo would land some good shots with his combinations but his sorry ass defense would be his down fall. Cotto would actually do better than most think. He'd land some clean shots but he's too small to hang with a healthy middleweight like Golovkin. Quillin? He'd be on spaghetti legs after the first glancing blow lol

    I'm not sure what you mean by a "B fighter", but if someone is step below some other boxer, that doesn't automatically mean that he's not good. Yes, he would certainly have tougher and 'better' fights at SMW, but that's because it's a higher weight division, it's logical. Just because someone will have harder fights at the higher weight class, doesn't mean that he should actually move up, especially because guys like Ward, Froch and others are significantly bigger than Golovkin, and it wouldn't be a fair fight. I'm sure that if Kovalev moved up to fight Marco Huck, it would be a bigger challenge for him than to stay at LHW and fight Stivenson, but that doesn't mean that he should actually move up.

    You're right, no one can challenge him, I was holding out hope for Geale I thought maybe he could stand a little bit of chance based on how awkward his style is, but this convinced me, he is wasting his time at MW.

    It wouldn't be a fair fight? Plenty of guys move up and face bigger fighters. Floyd went to 135 and in his first fight fought the top guy there in Castillo and was outweighed by 13 pounds. And present day is outweighed routinely. By 15 against Canelo, 17 against Maidana, 15 against Oscar, 15 against Cotto. Gennady is 5"11. He'd be just fine at super middleweight. I'm saying that Golovkin is the A class of the middleweight division. A clear best. So one else in that division can have that A title. And no he wouldn't have better fights at SMW because it's a higher division, he'd have better fights because there are better fighters there. Period.

    i'd like to see golovkin-cotto. cotto may get beat badly, maybe, but that's a big name and the fight would sell.

    hey, if cotto's a middleweight titleholder.. if he can fight martinez..

    His footwork and power is just too good honestly, for anyone in that range. Geale was elusive, once ggg timed him show was over. Nobody kos ppl with a straightlike that, head on, this guys power is insane.

    Roach was at ringside checking on Golovkin for a future fight with Cotto, but changed his mind and left. Golovkin would knock Cotto out. Looks as if Golovkin's next fight with be against Soliman for an unification fight.............Cotto and Quillin will not come near him.............
