Geale looked like a journeyman in there with Golovkin

When Geale fought Barker or Sturm, he looked like a legit top 3 MW. Against GGG he looked like a journeyman.

Either that's what GGG does with opponents or Geale never really was anything. I am inclined to go with the former.

 What the **** are you smoking? Geale hung in wit him there and had plenty of solid moments. Geale also showed some good and somewhat slick defensive moves.
Geale looked like he had no chin if anything but thats just testament to Golovkins power.

Golovkin brushed aside a very accomplished operator last night. He's several tiers above everybody else.

That's what I am thinking. Last night, Golovkin made a decent opponent look like a total turd. Sad to see Geale so overmatched but gotta pay respect to Golovkin.

    :good

Man I was so hoping Geale would win some rds last night and be even or slightly up before he got caught.....

    Im a Geale fan.....

He'll come back from this and win another title. He could go back to OZ......beat Fletcher and then fight Soliman and get a win there and be right back where he was before Barker robbed him.:good

Geale landed a couple of really hard shots on GGG a journeyman would not have been upright long enough to do that. At least Geale was a Spartan about it, scored a great right just before GGG landed the bomb that ended the war.

You know I was thinking had he landed that right on a B-class guy like Sturm then Sturms own attack would have been null and void. Golovkin though took that punch, was unimpressed and his own punch still had enough power to floor Geale. This is quite rare to see IMO.

Steady on there! Geale quit on his feet, remember? That "bomb" didn't end the war like you are trying to portray. Geale shaking his head to the ref and quitting did....
Admittedly he was doomed either way and he knew it. Ironic after all the guff he spouted beforehand about what a weak effort he thought Macklin made against GGG. at least Macklin got COUNTED out. He didn't quit like Geale.

True. I was a bit disappointed Geale let it go like that but he's experienced enough to know he was in there with a much better man. Maybe he should take a break, regain his energy and come back stronger in a few months. He can still have a couple good paydays in Europe I think.

Uh, maybe that's because Geale is a journeyman.

LOL. Barker and Sturm, the paper champions of Germany? LOL. This isn't even the same Sturm that faced ODLH, what 10 years ago?

HBO fed the Russian more free handout cupcakes.:yep

Its important to note he still didn't have his balance back when he told the ref he couldn't continue.

A top 10, arguably top 5 middleweight (whom was a former world titilist) being considered a journeyman by idiots like you it a part of what is wrong with boxing.
