    Fail thread.

He has a belt. That's the only reason he will fight him. Not to mention, it's a stay busy fight. He plans on fighting him in October, which is a fast turnaround since he just had a fight with Geale.

    So just stop.

Sammy Soliman has beaten 4 time world champ Felix Sturm, in Sturm's own backyard of Germany. Twice. And the 2nd bout he totally dominated.

Soliman has also accounted for contenders like Lorenzo, Garth Wood and Albert.

Give the man some dues. Sure, he’d deservedly start as an outsider again GGG, but the man is a legit and worthy World Champion.

Soliman is probably a top 5 ranked MW.

But it is funny given that he is 37-or-something years old and just popped a drug test a couple fights ago. He's always been seen as a joke. Weird and impressive for him to have turned his reputation around the way he has.

If he isn't fighting Cotto, Quillin, Sergio, or moving up/down for Alvarez/Lara/Ward/Froch/etc. then, well, I guess Soliman is the next best option.

Soliman is clearly another top middleweight like Geale was but with a title. So I don't see why he should be criticised for another standard defence of his title. Yes it's not the step up to elite class we are waiting for from Golovkin but his options are limited at middleweight.

Cotto and maybe Quillan are the only opponents at middleweight that would be seen as better opposition. Going up to super middle for his next fight seems unlikely with Froch and Chavez looking to face each other and Ward side lined. So Soliman is hardly a bad opponent considering his available options.

One of Mundines worst fights and that's saying something. Golovkin would absolutely kill Mundine or Woods.
